About the Role: Rotor Work Limited is looking for expressions of interest for an appropriately qualified Ag rated helicopter pilot for our Kerikeri Base with the option of either Part time or Full time work depending on what best suits the applicant. The role will involve working alongside our current pilot base manager to grow and conduct both part 137 and 135 work in a Bell 206. The position will require the applicant to live in or near Kerikeri. Because the base manager is still actively flying, work load can be shared for a better life balance. The responsibilities of the position are to:

  • Assist and support our Kerikeri Base to carry out helicopter operations.

  • Talk to clients, organise, and schedule work to be completed in a timely manner.

  • Conduct both 137 and 135 flights in a safe and productive manner.

  • Complete work records and keep up to date with compliance.

  • Manage ground staff to conduct operations in a tidy and professional manner.

  • Maintain and clean aircraft and role equipment in a tidy and airworthy condition.

  • Perform a variety of other admin and support role tasks to help grow the company.

Skills and experience: To be successful in this role you will:

  • Hold a Commercial helicopter pilot licence.

  • Hold either a Grade 1 or 2 helicopter spray and topdressing ag rating.

  • Have a minimum of 500 hours helicopter productive ag flight time.

  • Have bucket work and or lifting experience.

  • Have a turbine rating or able to complete one.

  • Have experience with using Ag GPS for proof of placement.

  • Have a good understanding of 133, 135 and 137 CAA regulations and compliance.

  • Have high standards and be able to follow company procedures.

  • Have excellent communication skills and get along with other staff and company clients.

  • Be open to the challenge of learning new skills and be able to stay away and operate out of different bases as required.

  • Work varied hours depending on seasonal workload and weather conditions.
