Reports to: Flight Operations Manager or Nominee

Key Relationships: Pilot in Command, ACO’s paramedics, doctors and management.

VISION and Values:

The Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust (ARHT) provides a professional, efficient, emergency air ambulance, search and rescue service operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Purpose of position: The PIC is a key member of a close-knit team of helicopter crew, Co-pilots, ACO’s, doctors and ICPs providing front line, SAR, pre-hospital care and medical retrieval for sick and injured people in a rotary wing aeromedical setting.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

This section sets out the previous experience, technical abilities, and professional qualifications required to perform the role.

ESSENTIAL

GOOD TO HAVE

  • NZ CPL (H) license and current medical

  • Minimum of 1000 hours aviation time or as approved by FOM

  • NVIS experience as approved by FOM and TM

  • Winch experience as approved by the FOM and TM

  • skills include good standard of numeracy, literacy and IT

  • Experience on glass cockpit helicopters (TEA)

  • NZ Instrument rating or equivalent

  • PBN experience

  • Experience on Leonardo type helicopters

  • EMS experience
