Reports to: Flight Operations Manager or Nominee
Key Relationships: Pilot in Command, ACO’s paramedics, doctors and management.
VISION and Values:
The Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust (ARHT) provides a professional, efficient, emergency air ambulance, search and rescue service operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Purpose of position: The PIC is a key member of a close-knit team of helicopter crew, Co-pilots, ACO’s, doctors and ICPs providing front line, SAR, pre-hospital care and medical retrieval for sick and injured people in a rotary wing aeromedical setting.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

ESSENTIAL
GOOD TO HAVE
NZ CPL (H) license and current medical
Minimum of 1000 hours aviation time or as approved by FOM
NVIS experience as approved by FOM and TM
Winch experience as approved by the FOM and TM
skills include good standard of numeracy, literacy and IT
Experience on glass cockpit helicopters (TEA)
NZ Instrument rating or equivalent
PBN experience
Experience on Leonardo type helicopters
EMS experience
