Pilots To Work In The EMS Industry - Auckland Base

You will be part of a close-knit team of the helicopter crew, doctors and ICPs providing front line, SAR, pre-hospital care and medical retrieval for sick and injured people in a rotary wing aeromedical setting. Our ability to provide first class patient care will be further enhanced by the arrival of 2 new AW169 aircraft this year.

Your ability to work well in a team environment, especially when under pressure, and communicate effectively with crew, patients, families and stakeholders is as important as your technical skills and piloting experience.

Key attributes required for this unique position are:

  • Minimum of 3000 rotary hours

  • NZ (ATPL (H).

  • NVIS qualification and experience minimum 50 hours

  • NZ Instrument rating, minimum 100 hours, 50 actual

  • Hoist/SAR experience

  • Unrestricted night rating (beyond 25nm)

  • Glass cockpit experience in a modern helicopter

  • Experience in AW169 or Leonardo helicopter type aircraft is an advantage

  • A sound understanding of NZCAA and New Zealand Aeromedical & Air Rescue Standard.

In addition the successful candidates will:

  • Have a high standard of written and oral communication.

  • Have a good level of physical fitness

  • Be culturally sensitive.

As part of the selection process, candidates must be willing to undergo psychometric testing/assessment.
