Heliwest offers a broad range of helicopter services to a variety of industries including Oil & Gas, Mining and government. Tasking conducted includes remote area surveys, EMS, offshore, sling work, powerlines, pipelines, fires and flight training.

About the role

Working as part of our flight instructor team the successful applicant will be involved in providing flight training under our Part 141 training organ

Skills and experience

To be successful for your new role you will ideally hold the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Flight Instructor Rating – Helicopter Category

  • Grade 2 Instructor Rating Training Endorsement

  • Instructional Experience in Robinson R22 and R44 helicopters

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Flexible and dedicated to teamwork

  • Commitment to a safe work environment

  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow with the company

Desirable:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

  • Low Level Rating – Helicopter Category

  • Design Feature Endorsement – Gas Turbine Engine

  • Bell 206 Jetranger/Longranger Experience

  • Low Level Training Endorsement

  • Design Feature Training Endorsement

  • Dangerous Goods Awareness Training

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate an instructional briefing and conduct a check flight with the Head of Operations.
