Queensland Government Air (QGAir) forms part of the QPS, Aviation Capability Group (ACG) and provides government aviation services specialising in both rotary and fixed wing operations in support of the QPS and our partner agencies in regular and emergency response operations across Queensland. The Role:
We are seeking experienced Training and Checking Pilots looking for their next challenge to support our Rotary Wing operation. Our Rotary Wing team has a fleet of five rotary wing aircraft and operates three bases in Archerfield, Cairns and Townsville.
Our team of highly trained personnel provides aeromedical retrievals, search and rescue and law enforcement support. You will facilitate and conduct high quality training and checking to support QPS aviation operations. Our organisation is experiencing significant growth and rewarding opportunities await the right applicant. Full-time 3-year contract positions available. We are accepting applications from individuals interested in being based in Archerfield, Cairns or Townsville. The final location - Archerfield, Cairns or Townsville will be determined through negotiation with the successful candidate.

What We're Looking for:
Mandatory Requirements:
Licences & Ratings:
Hold a current Australian Air Transport Pilots Licence (ATPL)
Flight Instructor Rating (FER) - Multi Engine or previous Military Equivalent
Low Level Rating
Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) Rating
Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating - 5 Renewals
Flight Hours Requirements:
Minimum 2500 hours total time
Minimum 1500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) Helicopter
Minimum 500 hours Night PIC Helicopter
Minimum 1000 hours Multi-Engine PIC Helicopter
Minimum 1200 hours Turbine Helicopter
Minimum 100 hours NVIS Operations
Certification & Documentation:
Hold or be eligible to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
Valid Class 1 Aviation Medical
Highly Desirable Requirements:Licences & Ratings:
Flight Examiner Rating (FER)
Type Ratings:
AW139 Type Rating
Certification & Documentation:
Hold a current and valid passport to enable international travel if required.
