ABOUT MERIDIAN AVIATION GROUP


Meridian Helicopters has established itself as an industry leader in the provision of specialist Helicopter Operations and services throughout Australia. Meridian operates a modern fleet of Airbus H135 and Soon to be Bell 429 helicopters in the provision of services to Queensland Police Service for Aerial Law Enforcement taskings in Northern Queensland.



ROLE DESCRIPTION


The successful applicants will fly modern Airbus H135 and Bell429 aircraft as Pilot in Command in Aerial Law Enforcement (ALE) operations both day and night and other missions as required by the company.



Company operations are conducted by day and night, including NVIS operations. The successful applicant/s will advance their skills in the operational environment through initial and recurrent simulator training and line training activities.



Opportunities are also available for inspired individuals wishing to advance their career in a flight training, flight operations auditing, and ground theory training capacity.


All flight operations are in support of Aerial Law Enforcement the successful applicant will be required to undergo security and character identification and referencing. 


* Applicants who reside in North Queensland or are willing to relocate to North Queensland will be highly regarded.


 QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


Experience Requirements


  • CASA CPL (H) | ATPL


  • TT: 2500 hours helicopter 


  • PIC: 1500 hours command helicopter


  • ME: 200 PIC hours Multi Engine helicopters


  • TYPE: 100 hours (H135 / BELL 429)


  • NVFR: 100 hours



Desirable Experience Attributes


  • NVIS: Rating

  • ME Command Instrument Rating (MECIR)

  • Aerial Law Enforcement (ALE) experience

  • Muti Crew Operations



* Applicants must be an Australian citizen and be able to hold and maintain applicable clearances as required for the position.


Maintains self and helicopter in a constant state of readiness for dispatch for flight taskings, emergency and non-emergency operations; or to any other assigned locations as required by the company at short notice.
