WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
We are currently seeking experienced, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Helicopter pilots to join our Bell 412 operations in New South Wales, Australia.
The right candidate will have the ability to work in a team environment conducting aerial firefighting and flood response, crew/equipment transport, reconnaissance, search and rescue, disaster mitigation and related operations in support of emergency services. They must have a strong focus on safety and customer service.
The role requires flexibility and working away from home base at short notice and offers competitive salary and an emphasis on work/ life balance on offer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Pilot helicopters over all types of terrain during day or night and in varying weather and climatic conditions.
Conduct both air transport and aerial work operations such as Aerial Fire Suppression, Dispensing operations, External load, winching personnel, Intel, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR), Search and Rescue and any other task specialist operations in support of Emergency Service Organizations both during day and night as required.
Reviews and maintains written and computerized flight logs and records.
Maintain licensing, training, and checking compliance required by the company
Ensure all flights, operations and other work follow CASA Regulations, Company Manuals, policies and client SOP’s and are achieved safely, effectively and efficiently.
Assists in training crews, aerial work passengers and task specialists to operate safely in and around helicopters as required
Maintains self and helicopter in a constant state of readiness for dispatch to emergency and non-emergency operations; or to any other assigned locations as required by the company at short notice.
Responsible for the conduct, standards and activities of the Aircrew Officers and Task Specialist and passengers whilst pilot in command of any operations.
Assist the chief pilot or any other management in the operation of company business as required.
Experience Requirements:
Australian CPL(H)
3000 hrs. Rotary Experience
Australian Class 1 Medical
HUET
CRM
Dangerous Goods Awareness
Low Level Firefighting rating
Low Level Sling Load Rating
Minimum 3 year and 500 hours experience in remote area and unimproved landing area operations.
Minimum 3 year and 500 hours background in Part 138 Aerial work operations including firefighting, SAR/ EMS and/ or external load operations
The right to live and work in Australia
Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
Winch / Personnel hoist operations Rating
Night VFR Rating
NVIS Rating
Multi Engine Instrument Rating
Instructor / Flight Examiner qualifications
