About you
Babcock conduct Rotary Wing Medical Transport and Emergency Service operations throughout Australia and we are looking to stand up a team of experienced touring pilots to support the Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service based in Rockhampton, QLD.
This opportunity is a 4 day on 4 day off roster pattern, offering a great work life balance. This roster will enable Pilots from the Queensland region to fly in for their shifts, and not relocate. Accommodation and allowances will be provided.
Babcock are seeking a qualified Multi-Engine Helicopter Pilot with experience on AW139 and B412 helicopters with a background in aeromedical/rescue operations.
About the role
Providing support to those in their time of need is the priority for our team, the pilot will be required to perform flying operations, including providing technical suitability to align with regulations and best practise. The successful candidate will have high level communication skills, act with discretion due to nature of the critical services operations, and of course adaptability to never serving the same day twice!
Our fleet includes the AW139 Aircraft with improved range speed and custom configs for our specialist on-board equipment, a thoughtfully designed fit out that has been custom curated for the aeromedical and SAR operations, not to mention your day consists of flying around our Central Queensland region to provide a bespoke service to your community.
Operating from state-of-the-art facilities in Rockhampton we offer an attractive salary and rates, accommodation and flights to support Pilots flying in from around the region in a touring capacity.
Essential requirements for a successful pilot will be inclusive of:
CASA CPL (ATPL preferred)
Class 1 Medical
Instrument Rating with MEH endorsement and 2 renewals
2500+ hrs total helicopter (may be reduced to 2000hrs provided that the pilot has substantial aeromedical experience and more than 200 hours night flying experience)
1500+ hrs PIC helicopter
1200+ hrs turbine time helicopter
100+ hrs night PIC
AW139 type rating and 100+ hrs experience on type
B412 type rating and 100+ hrs experience on type
NVIS rating
Low-level rating with winch endorsement
EMS/SAR operational experience
