We are currently seeking an experienced Powerline Inspection Pilot to join our team. The successful candidate will operate helicopters to perform low-level inspection flights of transmission and distribution powerlines, identifying potential issues and ensuring the integrity of utility infrastructure.
This position involves close collaboration with inspection crews and utility clients, requiring excellent communication and flight skills.
Responsibilities
Low-level powerline patrol and inspection tasks
Navigate and fly according to flight plans, while adjusting as needed for weather and task requirements
Communicate effectively with ground crews, inspection personnel, and air traffic control
Maintain accurate flight records and inspection documentation
Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks and assist with routine aircraft maintenance
Adhere to all CASA regulations, company policies, and safety protocols
Excellent communication and decision-making skills
Ability to work in remote areas
Minimum Requirements
Part 61 Flight Crew Licence
TT 2000
Low Level Flying Endorsement
Airbus AS350 B2/3- 250 hours on Type
Previous experience with low-level utility patrol or similar operations
Desirable Requirements
100 hours low level flying including powerline experience
Airbus EC135
