HELICOPTER PILOTS


Auriga Aviation (previously Aviator Group) is seeking experienced and suitably qualified Helicopter Pilots to join our flight operations team in Gladstone and Mackay, Queensland.

Auriga Aviation has established itself as an industry leader in the provision of specialist Helicopter Marine Pilot Transfer (HMPT) services in Australia. Auriga Aviation operates a modern fleet of Airbus H135, Airbus AS350, and Leonardo A109 helicopters in the provision of services to the maritime industry.


Auriga Aviation undertakes charter and utility services to a diverse customer base, and operates from multiple bases at Gladstone, Hay Point, Mackay, Newcastle, and Port Hedland. Planned growth includes additional bases, and scope of operations incorporating multi-crew operations through our First Officer (FO) Training Pathways Program and further expansion of NVIS operations.


ROLE DESCRIPTION


Depending on experience and employment location, the successful applicant will be required to operate, individually or a mixture of company Airbus H135, A109 and AS350 aircraft. While company operations vary from base to base, they are conducted by Day and Night under both the VFR and IFR in the maritime environment, and as such, Pilots with a proven history in these flight regimes are highly desirable. Positions available include Residential and FIFO roles. East Coast positions are residential only but operate on an equi-time roster. Applicants will be required to participate in the company Check and Training system and attend training with external training providers, where so required.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE PRE-REQUISITES


To be considered for the role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience.


Experienced Pilot Requirements:

  • CASA CPL/ATPL (H)

  • 2000 hours helicopter

  • 1000 hours command (PIC) helicopter

  • 500 hours turbine helicopter

  • 100 PIC hours multi-engine helicopters (MEH)

  • 100 hours under IFR

  • 25 hours command night

Desirable Pilot Experience Attributes:

  • EC135/A109 type rating with >50 hours on type

  • NVIS rating with >50 hours NVIS experience

  • Marine Pilot Transfer (MPT) experience

  • Hoisting experience

Entry Level Pilot Requirements:

  • CASA CPL(H)

  • 1000 hours helicopter

  • 500 hours pilot in command helicopter

  • 100 hours turbine helicopter

  • Low Level Rating / Sling Endorsement

Desirable Entry Level Pilot Attributes:

  • AS350 experience

  • Offshore operational experience

  • NVFR Rating

  • Instrument Rating
