Helicopter Pilot Required-New Zealand

Over The Top – the helicopter company has been operating in Queenstown for thirty-six years. As the pioneer of luxury helicopter tourism in New Zealand, the essence of our company continues to be “to provide our guests with an unforgettable experience, utilising our helicopters to access pristine areas”.

These excursions can include access to our private Par 3 Golf in the mountains, our exclusive High Country Station Alpine Kitchen, remote places in the Fiordland and Aspiring National Parks and other treasured areas throughout New Zealand.

In addition to this we undertake commercial helicopter work and are Approved Operators with DOC and FENZ meeting their Operational Service Specifications.

We require a charismatic, professional pilot to be based in Queenstown and join our crew.

The ideal applicant shall have the following

• New Zealand citizenship or valid New Zealand work visa

• Excellent communication and prioritisation skills

• The ability to work well in a team environment

• Enthusiasm and adaptability

The position requires:

• NZ CPL (H) and current Class 1 medical

• Business acumen and computer literacy

• Civil Aviation Fit & Proper Person acceptability

• Fully Covid vaccinated

Minimum flight requirements shall be:

• 2500 hours rotary

• 1000 hours turbine

• Rated on EC130B4, AS350 with minimum of 100 hours on type

• Nil accidents incidents or violations in last 5 years

Preferably with:

• Fiordland Experience

• Bell 429 rating with 100 hours on type

• B category instructor rating

• Flight Examiner rating

• Sling and mountain experience

• Firefighting experience

• Multi engine experience

In addition to hold:

• Current First Aid

• Current HUET certification

• Class 1 and Class 2 driving licence

• Current Dangerous Goods License

• Current Firearms licence

The position will involve some management areas depending on the qualifications of the applicant and therefore applicants with at least three years recent experience in part 135 operations is desirable.
