Helicopter Pilot - Bell 429-Queensland



Expression of Interest - Bell 429 Pilots - Sunshine Coast.


Helitec is seeking suitably qualified Helicopter Pilots for a Bell 429 to express their interest to join our flight operations team on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. This role will deliver unique opportunities for motivated individuals.


This position will be on a 10 hour fixed base roster, flying from the Sunshine Coast Airport.


Responsibilities of the role include:


  • As part of the crew ensuring completion of flights, as scheduled or on call, in a safe and timely manner as appropriate.

  • The Pilot shall conform to the Company directives and procedures contained within the Company Operations Manual  during the flight planning, pre‐flight inspection and checks, in flight operations and in postflight reporting and activity.

  • Undertaking those tasks and duties of a non‐flying nature including, but not limited to, paperwork, helicopter husbandry and facility housekeeping etc, that may be assigned to them from time to time by the Chief Pilot.

  • Ensuring all licences, ratings, medical certificates and applicable proficiency requirements are current in accordance with regulation and Company requirements prior to undertaking any flight.

  • Providing timely advice to the Check and Training officer and Chief Pilot whenever any licence, rating, medical certificate, or proficiency check is coming due or has been renewed.

  • The Pilots shall perform such duties as are specifically laid down by the Company regarding the operation of helicopters. As part of these duties, they must ensure that they are aware of and understand all operational duties relating to the conduct of the flight, including the checking of flight plans, fuel requirements, ATC restrictions and weather. 


Suitable applicants will require the following minimum qualifications and experience:


  • Valid CPL(H) or ATPL (H),

  • Total hours (H) 2,000,

  • PIC (H) 1,500

  • Turbine (H) 500,

  • Hours on type 100 (B429),

  • NVFR rating,

  • CASA Class 1 Medical,

  • ASIC.


Desirable criteria:


  • Multi engine IFR rating.

  • NVIS rating.


Applicants must be an Australian citizen and be able to hold and maintain applicable clearances as required for the position.
