Helicopter Pilot and Licensed Aircraft Engineer


Location:  Perth, Western Australia


Organisation:  Private Corporate Flight Department


We are a well-established private organisation operating a fleet of twin-engine IFR helicopters and corporate aircraft.  We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Helicopter Pilot and Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join our aviation team in Perth.  This is a unique opportunity for a dual-skilled professional to combine flying and engineering expertise in a dynamic and varied role.


Key Responsibilities


  • Operate twin-engine IFR helicopters for private and corporate missions across a variety of environments.

  • Perform and certify maintenance as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (LAME), ensuring fleet airworthiness.

  • Support operations from home base, remote locations, and maritime vessels.

  • Maintain the highest standards of safety, compliant and operational efficiency.

  • Work flexibly with travel requirements and varying schedules to support flying operations.

  • Operate independently in remote or challenging environments.

  • Work alongside a small, long-standing team and transition into a leadership role over time.

  • Demonstrate a proactive, can-do attitude while maintaining safety principles.


Essential Requirements


  • Minimum 2,000 hours total flight time, with multi-engine turbine helicopter experience.

  • CASA LAME certification with current endorsements.

  • Proven ability to operate safely and effectively from marine vessels and in remote locations.

  • Problem-solving skills, self-sufficient, and capable of working independently.

  • Highly motivated professional approach with demonstrated reliability and team integration capabilities.

  • Flexibility with working hours, travel commitments, and extended deployments.


Desirable Qualifications


  • IFR command and operational experience.

  • Previous experience with corporate or private aviation operations.

  • Additional maintenance endorsements or specialisations.
