Helicopter Pilot - Agricultural & Utility-New Zealand


We have an opportunity for a Helicopter Agricultural & Utility Pilot to join our operation based on the West Coast, South Island, New Zealand


About the Company:


Anderson Helicopters is a family owned & operated business providing helicopter services throughout the South Island. Operating since 1989, AHL operate 1 AS350B3+, 1 AS350B2 & a B206L3. Carrying out a good mix of agricultural & utility work for both government & private clients.


About the role:


You'll be responsible for carrying out agricultural & utility operations under the direction of the Operations Manager. Working closely with a skilled and motivated ground support team, you'll have a commitment to safety as well as the aviation industry & a strong focus on teamwork.


The key aspects of this role involve safe operation of the aircraft, ensuring clients are serviced to company standards, and administrative tasks are completed accurately and within agreed timeframes.


The hours for this role are full time but variable and weather dependant, and weekend work will be required so flexibility is essential. Travel and periods away from base can occur throughout the year to meet client requirements.


About you:


You'll show enthusiasm for agricultural & utility work, safety and demonstrate a collaborative, customer-focussed approach. Minimum Requirements for this role are:

  • A NZ CPL-H license for helicopter

  • NZ Agricultural rating Grade 2(Minimum) Topdressing, Spraying.

  • Night Rating

  • A valid Class 1 NZ medical certificate

  • Understanding of and exposure to Civil Aviation Authority requirements

  • Excellent attention to Health & Safety

  • A positive, responsible, can-do attitude

Preference for those applicants with experience in the following:

  • Precision Longline (100ft plus) experience.

  • Mountain Flying experience.

  • Fire Fighting experience.

  • VTA Experience

  • AS350, B206 experience preferred.
