Glacier Southern Lakes Helicopters [GSLH] is locally owned and has been operating scenic helicopter flights over New Zealand’s most stunning landscapes, since 1980. Our team is passionate about offering world-class experiences to visitors from all over the globe. As we continue to expand, we’re seeking another experienced and suitably qualified Helicopter Pilot to join our flight operations team based in Queenstown, New Zealand. 

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Glacier Southern Lakes Helicopters performs a large variety of work, from tourism scenic flight operations to film, charter and utility work. We work as a close team to ensure safe and professional service throughout all aspects of our operation. The ideal candidate will be required to continue these ethics, demonstrate a positive drive to succeed and possess the following qualifications and experience levels.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE PRE-REQUISITES

To be considered for the role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and experience.

• CPL(H)

• 2000 hours helicopter time

• 500 hours turbine time

• Class 1 CAA Medical

• H125 type rating

  
  

Desirable Experience Attributes:

• Cat B or C instructor rating

• H130/H145 type rating

• Long Line / Fire Fighting experience

  
  

SALARY & BENEFITS

The role is a fulltime position and remuneration will be based on previous experience and expertise the successful candidate brings to the role. Private Health Insurance included. H145 type rating maybe provided to the successful applicant.

Applicants must reside in New Zealand and if are not citizen, must have the appropriate work visas to work in New Zealand.
