Heliwest offers a broad range of helicopter services to a variety of industries including Mining, Resources, Government and Tourism. Tasking conducted include remote area surveys, EMS, offshore, sling work, powerlines, agriculture, mosquito control and flight training.


The Heliwest Flight School has been operating for over two decades, providing career pathways for hundreds of student pilots, while maintaining an exemplary safety record.


Heliwest requires full time, permanent, Perth-based Flight Instructors to join our Part 141 Training Organisation (part time and casual positions can be negotiated in some cases). The company seeks to grow pilots and after a requisite period of commitment there is the potential for future Air Transport and Aerial Work operations. These opportunities present for instructors who demonstrate the right attitudes, commitment, work ethic and drive. 

As a Flight Instructor you will be a member of a busy team conducting a wide range of flight training activities. You will work a regular roster that will include working one weekend day per week.

Required Qualifications and Experience:


  • Minimum Grade 3 Flight Instructor Rating – Helicopters, 

  • Low-level Rating,

  • Robinson R22 and R44 experience, and

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or higher.

 

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:


  • Grade 1 or 2 Training Endorsement,

  • Low Level Training Endorsement,

  • Sling Training Endorsement,

  • Gas Turbine Training Endorsement,

  • FIR Training Endorsement,

  • B206 and/or AS350 experience,

  • Cert IV or higher aviation qualifications, 

  • Any additional operational ratings and experience (e.g. testing, sling, aerial application, fire experience, NVFR etc.)

 

This position is subject to drug and alcohol screening in accordance with Part 99 of the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations including random workplace testing.
