Auriga Aviation has established itself as an industry leader in the provision of specialist Helicopter Marine Pilot Transfer (HMPT) services in Australia, operating a modern fleet of Airbus H135, H145 and AS350 helicopters.

Auriga Aviation conducts Air Transport Operations and Aerial Work services for maritime industry clients in Gladstone, Hay Point, Mackay, Newcastle, Karratha and Port Hedland.  Our operations are growing and we continue to provide opportunities to direct-entry Captains, as well as through our First Officer (FO) and Cadet Training Pathway Programs and multi-crew operations.  Our service capability continues to expand through NVIS, hoist, sling and other specialised operations.


ROLE DESCRIPTION


As an exemplar of flight standards, successful Instructor applicants will offer advanced ground and flight training for Multi-Engine, Night VFR, Instrument Flight, Night Vision, Instructor Ratings and other ratings/endorsements.  Importantly, as an Instructor you will translate your specialist skills into the operational environment through simulator training and line training activities.  Simulator training is conducted in Germany and Japan depending on the aircraft variant.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


  • CASA CPL/ATPL (H)

  • Class 1 medical

  • Instrument Rating

  • NVFR

  • Instrument training endorsement

  • MEH training endorsement (ideally on at least one aircraft listed in EX49/22)

  • CASR 61 Flight Instructor Rating (FIR)

  • 2500 hours helicopter 

  • 1500 hours command (PIC) helicopter

  • 500 hours PIC multi-engine turbine helicopter

Desirable Operational Ratings and Experience


  • Grade 2 Instructor Rating

  • Low Level Helicopter (LL-H)

  • NVIS Rating

  • NVFR training endorsement

  • NVIS training endorsement

  • Sling training endorsement

  • Winch training endorsement 

  • Sling Rating

Pilots are required to hold an ASIC and MSIC for the duration of their employment and may be subject to DAMP testing.
