Aero Logistics Pty Ltd is a consistently evolving aviation company with bases nationwide. Aero Logistics and its subsidiaries operate Rotary and Fixed Wing aircraft throughout the Australasian region. We are currently seeking applications from appropriately qualified and experienced pilots for employment as an Aerial Work Pilot.

This position will be based in the Newcastle or Sydney area. Applicants must be able to relocate to either the Sydney or Newcastle region and be able to work weekends and public holidays as required. The successful applicant would be responsible for conducting daily duties associated with the intended role. This includes;

  • Flight Operations as tasked

  • Standard Equipment Maintenance & Checks

  • Maintaining accurate records for flights, duty and other requirements

  • Administration tasks as necessary to the role

Aero Logistics is rapidly growing and as such, provides unique opportunities for pilots looking to progress their careers including opportunities to operate on different types of Fire Fighting, Aerial Lift, Survey and Ship-to-Shore operations.

Minimum Hours:

  • Total Time: 2,500hrs

  • Total PIC (Helicopter): 1,500hrs

  • Total PIC (Turbine): 500hrs

  • PIC AS350/H125: 250hrs

  • Fire Operations Experience: 50hrs

Minimum Ratings/Certificates:

  • CPL(H) - CASA CPL Helicopter or Higher

  • CASA Class 1 Medical

  • ASIC - Aviation Security Identification Card

  • BFR - Current Biannual Flight Review

  • GTE - Gas Turbine Engine

  • LLR - Low Level Rating

  • SLING - Sling Operations Endorsement

  • FIRE - Aerial Application Rating - Fire

  • DGA - Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate

  • CRM - Crew Resource Management

  • HUET - Helicopter Underwater Escape Training

  • BFA - Basic Fire Awareness

  • FWE - Flying in the Wire Environment

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to relocate to the Sydney or Newcastle region

  • Must be able to work weekends and public holidays

Desired:

  • Night VFR Rating

  • Previous Ship/Deck landing experience

  • Previous Survey Experience

  • Previous Experience on R44 and B206 type airframes
