Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled professional and experienced Head Of Flying Operations/Chief Pilot. As the HOFO you will be committed to continual improvement, helping to shape and drive the safety culture within Elite Helicopters. You will be responsible for ensuring all aircraft are operating safe, compliant and efficient as per the Operations Manual, CASA legislation and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement flight operations policies and procedures, ensuring all operations are as per the Ops Manual.
Manage a team of pilots, ground crew and support staff.
Ensure compliance with all aviation regulations and safety standards.
Ensuring that all appropriate staff are provided with the information and documentation necessary to properly carry out their responsibilities.
Oversee aircraft maintenance and ensure airworthiness.
Handle emergency situations and investigations.
Serve as a main contact for CASA and flight authorities.
Maintain all relevant documentation, investigate incidents and stay updated in regulatory changes.
Maintain focus on regulatory compliance and provide link between AOC holder and CASA.
Qualifications:
We are seeking a candidate who can build strong relationships, is technically minded, drives safety first and brings to the role a positive attitude, upholding the values of Elite Helicopters.
Requirements:
CPL(H)
Minimum 4000 Total Rotary time
Minimum 2000 hours turbine
Minimum 1000 hours AS350
Minimum 500 hours R44
EC130 experience
Low Level experience
Satisfactory record in the management of air operations.
Maintain all qualifications as prior to being appointed HOFO.
Desirable:
Experience in aerial operations especially aerial crane
Previous experience in fire operations
Bell 206 experience
EC120 experience
Previous Chief Pilot experience
