Grade 1 or Senior Grade 2 Instructor



Helistar Aviation has been providing high quality, safe and reliable aviation services throughout Australia as a member of the Aero-Star Group of aviation companies. Our services include search and rescue, disaster relief, specialised aerial work, tourism, corporate charter and flight training. Bases are in Adelaide & Parafield (SA), Fremantle & Busselton (WA), La Perouse/Cape Banks & Moruya (NSW)


We operate a diverse fleet of helicopters to provide aircraft solutions that best fit the needs of our customers. Our fleet includes the BK117C1, AS355, H130, H125, B206 and R44, plus a fleet of piston and turboprop fixed wing aircraft through our sister company Aerostar.


The Role


We require a senior pilot instructor for our SA operation based at Parafield airport. This is a full-time permanent position. The role is diverse and not restricted to instructing with the opportunity to be involved in aerial work operations locally and interstate, such as power-line and gas pipeline patrols, surf patrols, and passenger air transport to idyllic locations throughout the state. Opportunity exists for progression onto the company’s larger multi engine fleet.


To be successful in this role you will possess the following:


Required


  • Right to live and work in Australia

  • Current CASA qualifications; - CPL H, Class 1 Medical & FIR H G1 or, G2 and close to meeting G1 requirements

  • Nil accident history within the previous 5 years

  • High level of written and verbal communication skills

  • Drivers License


Desirable (training can be provided to the right candidate)


  • FIR Training endorsements – LL, FIR, NVFR, IR

  • Low Level Rating

  • HUET

  • Dangerous Goods Awareness Course


Remuneration is above the award will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
