Central West Helicopter school (CWHS) is a helicopter operator that conducts flight training, aerial work and passenger transport located at Orange Airport, NSW. The flight school provides an extensive range of licence, rating and endorsement courses ranging from initial flight training for a licence through to low-level, NVFR, and type rating courses.

CWHS is now looking for a Grade 1 Helicopter Flight Instructor to join our operation as base manager. We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a strong focus on safety and customer service. The right candidate will have the ability to work in a team environment and manage student progression through flight training.

Essential Qualifications / Experience Required

  • Australian CPL(H)

  • Current Class 1 CASA Aviation Medical

  • Current Instructor Rating with a minimum of a Grade 1 Training Endorsement

  • Current Red ASIC

  • Instructor experience on R22 and R44

  • Driver’s License

Desirable Qualifications / Experience

  • Turbine experience

  • GTE Training Endorsement

  • Low-level Rating and Training Endorsement

  • Sling & Winch Endorsement

  • Flight Instructor Training Endorsement

  • Previous base manager role
