As a Flight Operations Inspector in our Certification- Agricultural and Helicopter team, you will be responsible for carrying out certification activities for organisations seeking to operate in the aviation system, and to ensure they meet the requirements for certification. This includes carrying out certification assessments to determine requirements against the Civil Aviation Regulations and to evidence certification decisions in a way that supports the CAA’s goals and objectives. This role will give you the opportunity to positively influence the continuous improvement in aviation safety performance by engaging and communicating closely with operators. The role will promote safety and operational best practices within the New Zealand aviation system. As such, you will be required to exercise sound judgement and responsibility within an established operating framework. This role can be Wellington, Auckland or Christchurch based.   • Your systems thinking approach combined with your ability to think critically and solve problems will be of benefit in your day to day work.

  • Experience in commerical air transport helicopter operations is necessary for this role, agricultural and flight instructor qualifications are highly desirable.
