The opportunity
We are offering a rare opportunity to join our team of professional, friendly, charismatic, and highly skilled pilots as a full-time Instructor/Pilot. This role requires a passion for aviation and teaching, along with a positive, team-focused attitude and commitment to excellence.
About you
Requirements:
NZ CPL (H) with current Class 1 medical
Minimum 350 hours PIC (Helicopter)
C, B or A category instructor rating
Type ratings on R22 & Cabri (R44, MD500, and AS350 preferred)
Full driver’s licence
Preferably with:
CTO/ATO operations experience, especially in mountainous terrain
Flight and ground instruction experience
HUET certification
Current First Aid certification
CRM qualifications
Key selection criteria:
Strong instruction and teaching skills with the ability to set a professional example
Experience as a flight and ground instructor
Commitment to developing skills in flight training and Part 119/135 operations
Proven business acumen and IT competency
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Excellent organisational skills and forward planning abilities
In-depth knowledge of relevant CAA rule parts
Strong customer service orientation with the ability to work with diverse clientele
Flexible, ‘can-do’ attitude, willing to assist in all areas of the business as required
