Position Overview:


We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Chief Pilot to join our team based in Kununurra. The Chief Pilot will oversee all flight operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role requires a seasoned professional with strong leadership skills and extensive experience in remote helicopter operations.


Key Duties


- Lead and manage the Frontier Helicopters flight operations team.

- Ensure compliance with all aviation regulations and company policies.

- Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance of pilots.- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for flight operations.

- Support regular safety audits and risk assessments.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and best practices.

- Coordinate with our maintenance team to ensure aircraft availability.

- Represent Frontier Helicopters in industry forums and client meetings.

-Ensure our clients needs are meet efficiently, safely and to the highest standard


Qualifications:


- Current CASA CPL (H) with a minimum of 2500 flight hours.

- Class 1 Aircrew Medical

- Valid ASIC

- Endorsed on AS350 and B206/L min of 100 hours on type

- 500 hours turbine PIC

- Sling, Aerial Work and Low-Level Experience required.

- Proven leadership and management skills.

- Strong understanding of CASA regulations and compliance requirements.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work in a dynamic and remote environment.

- Commitment to safety and operational excellence.

- Previous experience in remote areas is a plus.

- NVFR, ME, FIR and/or FE qualifications preferred
