EC135 HEMS Pilot Required-South Australia

With seventy staff and a fleet of thirty-five aircraft, Aerotech Group have a well-deserved reputation as an Australian leader in providing aerial solutions, working across several sectors including firefighting, agricultural spraying, mining support and medical evacuations. We are excited to recruit a HEMS pilot to work on the iconic Cooper Basin project.

Key responsibilities:

  • Base of operations is the Cooper Basin, Moomba Airport. Direct flights available from Brisbane and Adelaide.

  • Operate EC135P2+ helicopter under VFR, NVIS and IFR conditions as co-pilot or captain depending upon experience

  • Typical roster periods of 15 days on 13 days off

  • Self manage daily duties and rest periods to maintain a 24 hour standby roster in accordance with CAO 48.1 / Aerotech Helicopters FRMS

  • Liaise and cooperate with your back to back rostered pilot to ensure continuity of service

  • Implement, review, update and contribute to company SOP’s to facilitate continuous improvement of the operation

  • Actively participate in the Safety Management System

  • Conduct secondary duties as allocated by the Base Manager or Contract Manager from time to time

  • Strive to ensure customer satisfaction and high standards of service are maintained

  • Immediate start (subject to meeting competency standards for the position)

Qualifications and Experience

The following qualification and experience are desirable, however Aerotech recognises that attitude is of more importance than qualifications and therefore will invest in training and qualifications for the right candidate

  • Preference will be given to candidates who meet IOGP 590 minimum requirements

  • EC135 Type Rating or experience on similar complexity aircraft

  • Total hours helicopter experience: 2000 hours (captain), 500 (co-pilot)

  • Total hours in command helicopters: 1000 (captain), 100 (co-pilot)

  • Multi engine experience: 500 PIC (captain), 250 (co-pilot)

  • Hours on EC135: 100 (captain), 50 (co-pilot)

  • NVIS rating

  • IFR Rating
