For over 20 years, our helicopter operations have provided a host of specialised services including scenic tours, corporate and private charters, aerial survey operations, ship to shore transfers and cargo delivery, through to NAFC accredited and approved Air Attack, Water and Retardant Bombing, Incendiary and Hazard Reduction Burns, and Flood relief.

This role is available at either our Sydney or Newcastle bases with the successful applicant being able to travel when required.
In this senior position, you will be exposed to the full range of piloting duties and activities Aero Logistics undertakes on a day-to-day basis. No two days will be the same!
Supporting the Chief Pilot, you will assist with the operation and management of our modern helicopter fleet, playing a key role in delivering Aero Logistics range of core business activities across the country. Our Senior pilot team embrace the company culture, acting as a role model and working supportively to mentor our line pilots to enhance their professional development, skill-sets, and dedication to safety.
Essential Qualifications
Current Australian Commercial Pilots License (CPL-A) or higher
Minimum 3,000 Total Hours
Minimum 2,000 Hours Pilot in Command
Current CASA Class 1 Medical Certificate
Endorsed on the following aircraft (desirably with 100 hours on type)
Eurocopter AS350 Squirrel
Bell 206
Bell 407
Robinson R44
Low Level Flying Endorsement
Helicopter Underwater Escape Training
Crew Resource Management
Flying in the Wire Environment Course
Firefighting, bucketing and aerial incendiary experience
Understanding of CASA Rules and Regulation in support Chief Pilot responsibilities
Current Aviation Security Identification Card
Current unrestricted driver’s license
Will be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
Intrastate and remote area travel is required
Demonstrates ability to work alone and be self-reliant
Required to work some weekends and public holidays on a rostered basis
Desirable Qualifications
Charter and Scenic Tour Experience
Linear asset inspection experience (powerline, gas pipeline)
Previous Multi Engine Experience
Instructor Rating
