Ko wai mātou? I Who are we?
Search and Rescue Services Ltd operate 8 Bases with a fleet of 10 BK 117’s and one H145 T2 covering the Central and Southern North Island of New Zealand. You will join a whanau | family of enthusiastic and experienced Pilots (34), Crewmen and Intensive Care Paramedics who provide an essential life-saving service to our local communities.
Our role encompasses providing the highest level of clinical care to many of our most vulnerable communities within Aōtearoa |New Zealand , and as such we are committed to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and improving health equity and access particularly for the many Māori communities we serve.
As a dedicated government contracted EMS Helicopter provider, we operate on a 24/7 , 365 day basis. Flexibility is needed to meet this requirement and you will have to commit to working both 24-hour shifts (on an on-call basis) and 12 hour shifts on-site.
We are a progressive operator that has recently invested in the acquisition of new technology by way of commissioning into service an Airbus H145 T2. Maximising the use of this technology will require your ongoing personal professional development.

We are seeking fulltime Air Ambulance / Rescue Helicopter pilots to join our Emergency Medical Service (EMS) rescue helicopter whānau |Family at our New Plymouth and Hastings bases. This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills to make a real difference for the communities that we serve.
Our mission is to provide excellent patient care by getting the right people to the right place at the right time. We have a number of very experienced senior aviation personal that will ensure your skills will develop and grow.

NZ CPL(H)
2000 hours total time PIC (or equivalent)
Unrestricted night VFR rating
Full NZ Class 1 medical certificate
The right to live and work in New Zealand
