About the role
We are currently looking for a Qualified Flying Instructor for the ARH Tiger aircraft to join our team based in Oakey. In this highly sought after position you will conduct aviation training operations in support of the Army Aviation Training Centre (AAvnTC). Reporting to the Manager Training Support, you will focus on the safe and efficient conduct of flight training and flight support operations by the aircrew whilst operating within the framework of both the Airbus and the AAvnTC flight management systems.
Specifically you will:
Guarantee the proper conduct of the flight operations of the organisational unit within the scheduled times and with the required safety under the guidelines laid out in the Airbus Helicopter Flight Operations Manual as well as the relevant Australian Defence Force (ADF) Orders, Instructions and Publications
Ensure the correct conduct of ground and flight operations in the aircraft operating areas
Represent Airbus Australia Pacific in matters concerning flight operations for the ARH Tiger aircraft
Maintain documents defining the local Standard Operating Procedures and manage the processes described therein
About you
To be successful in this role you will need to live the Airbus Values, work with passion and determination, be able to work to tight deadlines in an environment of continuous improvement. The qualifications, skills and experience suited to this role:
Two years' experience in flight operations within the AAvnTC or other Australian Defence Force (ADF) military FMS and operational knowledge of and compliance with Army Aviation (AAvn) Orders, Instructions and Procedures (OIP)
Currently possess or be able to attain and maintain pilot and instructor (Qualified Flying Instructor) qualification on ARH Tiger within the ADF FMS
Currently possess or be able to attain and maintain a CASA Class 1 Aviation Medical status
Experience in complying with multiple regulatory aviation frameworks
Capability in maintaining and complying with a full suite of operational documents as per regulations (compliance and currency)
Experience in people management and participating in a united hybrid ADF/AAP team in the achievement of measurable results and strategic goals
Demonstrated experience in effective resource management and Flight Ops planning, managing competencies/training/certifications
