About CitiPower & Powercor:

CitiPower, Powercor (collectively known as Victoria Power Networks or VPN) and United Energy (UE) are responsible for the safety, quality and reliability of our customers’ power supply. Bushfire is the biggest risk to safety within our network and our vegetation management activities are our most critical control. Our Beon Aerial services team operates two Bell 505 helicopters to carry out aerial inspections of our electricity network, gathering data through Airborne Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) which is critically used across our business for asset inspection and safety purposes.

About the Role:

Beon Aerial Services are seeking a commercial Junior pilot situated at our Avalon Airport base. The successful candidate can follow detailed instructions in a consistent manner and work in a highly safety focussed environment. The ideal candidate will be personable and looking to become part of a small dedicated team.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Extensive travel throughout regional Victoria

• Approx. 50/50 split between home base (Avalon) and remote bases

• Monday to Friday week cycle

• Willing to relocate within 60-minutes of Avalon Airport

Essential skills and experience:

• Excellent communication skills

• Knowledge of Flight rules and Air law

• Sound understanding of the different airspaces in Australia and the accompanying procedures

• Confidence in interpreting Meteorological conditions

• High understanding of Human Factors and the associated dangers

• Quality decision-making skills

• 1000 hours Total Time - Helicopters

• 800 hours Pilot in Command Helicopters

• SEH Gas Turbine Endorsement

• 250 hours SEH Gas Turbine hours

• Low-level endorsement with current proficiency

Junior Line Pilot - Minimum Required Licences and Qualifications:

• Commercial Helicopter Licence or higher

• Current Class 1 Medical Certificate with no restrictions

• Dangerous Goods Certificate

• CASA DAMP certificate

• ASIC

• Senior First Aid Course

• Completed CASA Form 452

• National Police Check Certificate

Junior Line Pilot – Desirable:

• Glass Cockpit Experience

• EFB Experience

• Remote Areas operational experience

• Bell 505 Endorsement and experience

• Crew Resource Management Experience

• Fly in the wire environment course
