The Aviator Group is seeking an expression of interest (EOI) from suitably qualified Helicopter Pilots to join our flight operations team.


ABOUT AVIATOR GROUP

The Aviator Group has established itself as a leading provider of specialist Helicopter Marine Pilot Transfer (HMPT) services in Australia. Aviator Group operate a variety of modern new multi engine and single engine helicopters. Aviator Group also undertake Search and Rescue (SAR), Ambulance operations, executive charter, and utility services to a diverse customer base. Aviator Group operates from bases at Gladstone, Hay Point, Mackay, and Port Hedland with additional bases to be operational in the near future.


ROLE DESCRIPTION

A successful applicant will be required to operate company EC135 aircraft which includes the Airbus H135 fitted with the advanced Helionix avionics system. Company operations are conducted by Day and Night under both the VFR and IFR in the maritime environment, and as such, Pilots must have a proven history in these flight regimes.


Positions available include fixed and touring roles, both East and West Coast. EOI applicants will be required to participate in the company check and training system that will involve the use of synthetic training devices in location both with Australia and overseas. A successful applicant will also be required to attend training with external training providers where so required.

Most company flights are in support of the Maritime Pilot Transfer (MPT), and therefore any successful applicant will be required to operate over water for extended periods of time. Experience in this offshore environment is highly desirable and current proficiency in this setting will be assessed prior to employment.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE PRE-REQUISITES

To be considered for the role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and experience.


Experience Requirements:

• CPL/ATPL(H) • 2000 hours helicopter • 1000 hours command helicopter • 50 PIC hours Multi Engine helicopters • 25 hours night with NVFR rating


Desirable Experience Attributes:

• EC135/A109 type rating • Instrument rating with MEH endorsement • NVIS rating with > 50 hours NVIS experience • Marine Pilot Transfer (MPT) experience • Offshore experience


An applicant must be an Australian Resident and can hold and maintain ASIC/MSICs.
