About the role

We require a New Zealand-based co-pilot or senior co-pilot to support our international superyacht operation on an equal time basis, flying a Bell 429 helicopter.

Acting as co-pilot/senior co-pilot, you will work with the captain to organise and undertake safe conduct of VVIP day/night transfers/scenic/maintenance flights from a superyacht at various locations worldwide.

Despite the low flying rate, you will gain fantastic experience operating in numerous locations worldwide.

About the candidate

The candidate must be able to operate effectively and professionally as part of the two-pilot crew in a dynamic environment while maintaining the highest professional & personal discipline at all times. As you will be working closely with the yacht’s crew you’ll have a natural ability to foster positive relationships through excellent interpersonal skills.

A proven high degree of computer literacy with exceptional organisation skills will also need to be demonstrated as the role is very administration intensive.

Experience/Qualifications

Essential: (Co-pilot)

  • CPL(H) - NZCAA

  • 1000 flight hours

  • Extensive experience dealing with VIP clients

  • Flight operations from yachts/vessels

  • Night rated

Desirable: (Co-pilot)

  • IFR rating

  • NVG rating

  • Bell 429 Type rating

  • HUET

  • DG

Essential: (Senior co-pilot)

  • ATPL(H) - NZCAA

  • 2000 flight hours pilot in command

  • Extensive experience dealing with VIP clients

  • Night rated

  • Extensive Day/Night experience operating from yachts/vessels

  • MEIFR rated

  • Multi-crew flight experience

Desirable: (Senior co-pilot)

  • NVG rating

  • Bell 429 Type rating

  • HUET

  • DG
