PHI INTERNATIONAL: WORLD LEADERS. TRUSTED PARTNERS.

  • Based in Australia or New Zealand

  • Full time, permanent role

  • Large multinational company

  • Opportunity to train while you earn

Each year we carry our partners on more than 20,000 helicopter flights, making it possible for industries, essential services, and communities to operate and live in remote and difficult locations.

We support a range of international businesses across New Zealand, Australia, Southeast Asia, Africa, and Europe.

We fly because it is our calling. Our reputation is built on being one of the safest helicopter operators anywhere in the world – with a safety record to back it up. Every flight we take is guided by our core values of Safe, Efficient, Quality, Service.

We are seeking expressions of interest for Cadet Pilots to fly an IFR multi-engine helicopter at one of our New Zealand or Australian bases. Cadet Pilots would receive a multi-engine type rating and instrument rating training, following which they would become eligible as cadet pilots under our approved low experience progression scheme, flying Marine Pilot Transfer or Offshore operations. Cadet Pilots will be required to live and work in the country and/or state as applicable on an equal-time touring roster, so a willingness to reside where the company requires operational pilots at the time of course completion is a requirement for this role.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a NZCAA or CASA CPL (H)

  • Have the legal right to live and work in Australia and New Zealand.

Having the following qualifications/experience will be an advantage:

  • 5hrs night dual, 2hrs night solo circuits, 3hrs night x-country (including 1hr solo)

  • 50 hours of VFR cross-country navigation flight time as pilot-in-command

  • ATPL (H) theory

  • Australian CPL holders

    • Minimum 150hrs (if reduced course of 110hrs), and;

    • 10hrs sling (7hrs dual) and 10hrs advanced mountain flying training (3hrs dual).

Prior to commencing employment, the New Zealand Instrument Rating (IR) theory exams must be passed. Successful applicants will be invited to participate in an aptitude testing and selection process which will be convened in November 2021.

By joining our team, you will work in a rewarding and professional environment, with a diverse team of people sharing ideas and experiences. In return for your service, we offer a generous employee benefits package and access to a comprehensive well-being platform that supports mental, physical, social, and financial wellness.

If you have the experience we are looking for, please register and apply through our Career Centre https://phi-int.currentjobs.co where a copy of the position description can be found.

If you have any questions about the Cadet Co-Pilot position, please do not hesitate to contact Andrew Humphries, Check and Training Captain, via email: ahumphries@phi-int.com

Applications close on 7 November 2021.
