Heli-Hire LTD Rotorua is looking for a new full time Crew Member for our increasing work flow.

Heli-Hire LTD is based in Ngongotaha, Rotorua and has been operating for 17 years. Covering aerial agricultural, our services include aerial top dressing, spraying, lifting, charter work, hunting & fishing trips & flight training in the BOP, Waikato & Western Bay areas.

Ground Crew tasks are varied and will involve both on and off-road driving, operating pumps and machinery around aircraft, cleaning of equipment as well as handling fuel and agrichemicals. There will be early morning starts with long and irregular hours and weekend work are required as most work is weather dependent.

This role will include: Assist and support our team to carry out helicopter operations and other services in the area.

  • Drive a helicopter support vehicle to and from work locations.

  • Will show pride in their position within the company, keeping the workplace, vehicles and equipment to a high standard.

  • Operate helicopter loading equipment in a professional manner.

  • Maintain and clean support equipment to a high standard.

  • Perform a variety of other support role tasks to help grow the company.

To be successful in this role you MUST:

  • Have a minimum of a Class 4HT Licence

  • Growsafe and Approved Handlers and First Aid certificates are an advantage but full training will be provided to the successful applicant.

  • Be fit and energetic with a positive can-do attitude.

  • Agree to a pre employment drug test, be drug free and accept random drug testing.

  • Work in a safe, professional manner and follow strict procedures.

  • Have the ability to work in with the base work program to get work done within weather windows and on time for clients.

  • Have the ability to think on your feet in an ever-changing environment.

  • Have clear communication skills and be able to adapt well in a small team environment.

  • Be willing to upskill and progress when opportunities present.

This opportunity would be great for someone who is interested in the helicopter aviation sector, working outdoors and exploring the beautiful country side.

For the right applicant who currently holds a CPL pilot licence, based on hard work ethic etc, there will be the opportunity to gain flight experience with ferry flying and frost protection.

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
