Fire and Long-Line Pilot Required (Tasmania)

Osborne Aviation is a diverse aviation services provider, offering clients across Australia innovative solutions using planes, helicopters and drones. Starting as a single-pilot agricultural spraying operation in rural Tasmania, Osborne now operates in forestry, firefighting and power-line roles across four Australian States.

Osborne is seeking motivated contract helicopter pilots the coming fire season, and intermittent long line construction projects.

Work can commence as early as November 2020 with possible travel for check rides prior to that time. Remuneration will be based around performance, with high performing pilots sure to find it attractive.

Essential qualification and experience:

• CASA approved commercial helicopter licence

• Minimum 2000 hours flown

• Minimum 500 hours on type

• Experience in Firefighting and Vertical Reference

• AS350 endorsed

In addition to technical expertise, the following qualities are critical to your success in this role:

Experience: Our contract pilots conduct a variety of operations. Pilots that can conduct multiple operations such as long line, forestry/ag and powerline are favoured with strong attention to detail.

Energy: The role is what you make it. If you put in the extra effort to satisfy the customer and build additional work then you can grow with us.

Emotional Intelligence: Ability to fit into the team and work with a wide variety of people. Ability to remain easy-going and function during the frustrating or challenging situations you may be presented with during field work.

Location: Contracts will primarily be based from Hobart, Tasmania, with travel required throughout Australia from time-to-time. You may be remotely located with your aircraft for some contracts.
