Helicopter Pilot - Aerial application, Fire and Charter
Due to expansion Pay's Helicopters require a CASA CPL (H) licenced Pilot to join our team.
Pay's Helicopters is an aerial Agricultural and Charter business operating throughout New South Wales and Victorian Areas, with main bases at Scone Airport and satellite bases at Tumut and Bathurst. To Service our expanding contract requirements we are searching for an integral member to join our team. About the role:
Based predominantly in Scone NSW, Pay's Helicopters are seeking a Qualified Helicopter Pilot primarily conducting aerial application and fire fighting operations as well as charter and other flights as required. The role will include flying a variety of helicopters across NSW and VIC where required due to operational demand. Outside of the allocated spraying schedule duties may extend to other roles that assist the company at its scone base including but not limited to assisting maintenance staff and upkeep of documents and paperwork.
Duties will include:
Applying and handling agricultural chemicals in strict accordance with best practices, labels/Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
Proactively monitoring weather conditions for application and planning purposes.
Reading and understanding product labels and MSDS to effectively deal with any emergency situations such as spills, accidental poisoning or fire.
Communicating effectively with loading staff.
Keeping accurate records of all agricultural chemicals and other materials applied.
Completing further training as required by the company as well as maintaining general currency requirements.
Assisting loader/mixer in maintaining the aircraft and all associated vehicles and ground equipment, ensuring they are in clean, serviceable condition at all times, including decontaminating mixing equipment and reporting faults to maintenance staff.
Aircraft type maintenance in accordance with Pays CASA guidelines this predominantly being the installation and removal of role equipment.
Ensuring all licence and endorsements are current at all times.
About you:
The successful candidate will be driven, well presented and have outstanding attention to detail. Flexibility is also important as work is heavily dependent on weather conditions and spray schedule requirements. the successful applicant will be required to organise day to day operations to meet the allocated spray schedule and best utilise available application windows, ensure correct aircraft set up and application techniques and identify and mitigate all associated hazards.
This position will involve communication with upper management on a regular basis. You will be required to organise and liaise with the ground crew on a day to day basis for planning operations, maintenance and any other aspects of the job to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Attention to detail and safety are paramount at Pay's Helicopters. All staff will be subject to Pay's Helicopters drug and alcohol management policy (DAMP) and will need to undergo pre-employment screening and random screening during employment.
