JOB TITLE : Deputy Chief Pilot
TEAM : Flight Ops
RESPONSIBLE TO : Chief Pilot
RESPONSIBLE FOR :
Training and Competency Captain
Flight Examiners
Flight Instructors
Lead Pilots
Line Pilots
MAIN DUTIES
Assist the chief pilot with selection, assessment and induction of pilots and loadmasters.
To process contractual requirements, implement and maintain, when CP absent.
To attend contractual HS & E meetings and carry out various requirements.
Prepare HNG for successful completion of external audits.
To assist and carry out this function when CP absent, write and rewrite SOP’s for every contract entered upon.
Daily liaison with ops and engineering for placement of crews and aircraft.
Supervision of senior loadmasters.
Rostering/ ticketing.
Attend close out, start up, inspections meetings for clients.
Justify how pilots operate to Chief Engineers
Answer and justify pilots actions and decisions to all.
To carry out the functions of Chief pilot in his absence.
OTHER DUTIES
Other duties as contained in the Management Policy Manual (MPM) under respective role.
QUALIFICATIONS : • Good oral and written English
Excellent communications skills
Have a Commercial Pilot’s License
EXPERIENCE
Have at least 3 years supervisory or managerial experience
Have at least 5 years’ experience as Pilot in Command
