Chief Pilot / Head of Flying Operations-Brisbane

The minimum requirements for this position are:

• Proven safety record

• Excellent understanding of WHS regulations and requirements

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• CASA CPL (H) with Low Level & Sling ratings

• 2,500 hours total time PIC (helicopter)

• 100 hours low level (helicopter)

• Right to live and work in Brisbane, Australia

Desirable skills / experience:

• Aerial application rating – firefighting endorsement

• Aerial firefighting experience

• Powerline patrol & inspection experience

• Powerline insulator washing experience

• Powerline platform (or similar) experience

• Precision slinging / vertical reference experience

• Powerline stringing experience

• Powerline tower transfer experience

• Powerline human external cargo experience

• MD500 series endorsement with 200 hours or more on type

• AS350 series endorsement with 200 hours or more on type

• A Grade 2 or above flight instructor rating (helicopter) with design feature rating

• Flying in the wire training completed in the last two years

• CRM training completed in the last two years

• UETTDRRF01 - Apply ESI safety rules, codes of practice and procedures for work on or near electrical apparatus (or equivalent)

• CPCCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry / construction industry white card (or equivalent)

• HLTAID001 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (or equivalent)

• UETTDRRF10 - Provide first aid in an ESI environment (or equivalent)

• UETTDRRF09 - Apply access procedures to work on or near electrical network infrastructure (or equivalent)

• Australian driver’s licence
