HELICOPTER CHIEF PILOT

HeliSpirit operates to the highest standard of compliance, safety and professionalism, and offers an impressive range of services across utility, charter, tourism and specialised flight training. HeliSpirit is seeking a highly motivated individual with demonstrated leadership and management experience to join our team in Kununurra in the role of Chief Pilot. This is a full-time position and the right candidate will have the ability to work in a team environment overseeing up to thirty-five pilots at multiple remote bases across north-west Australia. The right candidate will provide strong safety and compliance leadership and drive a culture of continual improvement. Kununurra is located in the iconic Kimberley region and the position would suit someone who enjoys the outdoors and is keen to relocate to a spectacular part of Australia. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES Applicants will need to possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Australian CPL(H)

• Australian resident and able to hold and maintain an ASIC

• Ability to obtain and maintain CASA approval as Chief Pilot

• Flight operations management experience corresponding to the role

• Training & checking experience

• Current Class 1 Australian Medical

• 3,000+ hours total helicopter experience

• 500 hours turbine

• 100 hours minimum AS350

• 100 hours minimum B206

• 100 hours minimum R44

• Low Level Rating

• Dangerous Goods Awareness Training

• HUET

• CRM

• First Aid Certificate

• Drivers’ Licence

• Proficient in the use of the Microsoft suite of programs and Air Maestro (or similar flight duty and safety management software)

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience as a Chief Pilot

• Bush experience including confined area landings and low level operations

• Firefighting Experience

• Sling load experience

• Instructor Rating

• R66 endorsement
