Aeropower Flight School is a growing rotary wing flight school based on Brisbane’s northside. We possess a broad and unique set of regulatory approvals and accreditations including: CASA Part 141 Flight Training Organisation, Registered Training Organisation, CRICOS Institution, VET Student Loans Provider, ISO 9001. Operating as a division of Aeropower Pty Ltd, we provide both retail and wholesale training services in the Asia Pacific region and internal training services to the airborne electrical services division of the business. Our scope of delivery includes PPL, CPL and various other ratings and endorsements.
Your responsibilities will include:
Provision of standardisation and proficiency support to the HOO
Supervision of day-to-day flight instruction activity
Mentoring and development of junior flight instructors and students
Delivery of flight instruction and associated briefing
Participation in a 7-day roster
This position is primarily flying focussed.
You will have an opportunity to develop your own experience in the company fleet (R22/44, H269, Cabri G2, MD500, AS350), leverage your past experience and qualifications to grow new training capabilities and shape the delivery of school operations, gain exposure to RTO, CRICOS & VSL requirements, be at the forefront of virtual reality flight simulators and play a part in building the capabilities of your fellow team members.
You will have a Grade 1 training endorsement, industry experience and qualifications suitable for the flight training context, character and behaviours/attitudes consistent with being a role model for junior pilots, a genuine desire to develop junior pilots and students, and with previous hours on fleet aircraft being desirable.
Mandatory
Commercial Helicopter Pilot Licence with authority to operate in Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia Jurisdiction.
Grade I Instructor Rating with authority to operate in Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia Jurisdiction.
Proficiency in the leadership and development of both junior instructors and students.
Sound background or demonstrated understanding of aviation training, operations and general aviation.
Understanding of the relevant CARs, CAOs and AIPs.
