Our rotary-wing fleet includes AS350, B206L, R44 and Cabri G2 helicopters, supporting a diverse range of operations in some of Australia's most remote and challenging environments.


About the Role: HM Air is seeking a motivated and committed Junior Helicopter Pilot to join our Rotary Division. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience across a variety of operational environments while working alongside an experienced team of aviation professionals.


The role requires flexibility, including travel and periods of working away from home base. HM Air offers a long-term career pathway with ongoing training, mentoring and professional development opportunities. Remuneration will be negotiated based on qualifications and experience.

Essential Qualifications, Experience and Attributes:


  • Australian CPL (H)

  • 500 hours PIC

  • Minimum two years' experience in a ground crew, station hand or similar operational role

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of CASA regulations and aviation safety requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively

  • Strong customer service focus and professional presentation

  • Ability to work in remote environments and as part of a team



Desirable Qualifications, Experience and Attributes:


  • Mustering endorsement and or experience

  • Cabri G2 Endorsement (or ability to obtain)

  • CASA Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP) qualification

  • Dangerous Goods Awareness training

  • Human Factors training

  • Experience operating in remote or pastoral environments
