Our client is a family-owned aggregation of cattle stations located along the Pilbara coastal region surrounding Port Hedland, WA. Operating across multiple northern WA coastal properties, the business runs a well-established Brahman and Brahman-cross pastoral enterprise. They are known for their strong safety culture, professionalism, and supportive working environment, offering employees the chance to work in one of Australia's most unique remote landscapes.
This role reports directly to Station Management and works closely with ground crews and operational staff. It is ideally suited to experienced helicopter pilots who are confident mustering in remote pastoral environments and who value safety, teamwork, and sound decision-making. Positions are available for the 2026 mustering season, with flexibility for seasonal or year-round engagement.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Conduct aerial mustering of cattle using R22 helicopters.
Perform water runs, infrastructure inspections, and station support flights.
Complete all pre-flight, post-flight, and operational checks in line with regulations.
Maintain accurate flight records while coordinating closely with station management and ground crews.
Selection Criteria:
Proven experience as a helicopter pilot in pastoral, agricultural, or remote operations.
Current PPL (Helicopter) with valid medical and helicopter mustering endorsement.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
Favourable Experience:
Mustering operations beyond standard requirements.
Aerial surveying, mapping, or related services.
Familiarity with Brahman cattle.
Mechanical aptitude and basic helicopter maintenance knowledge.
