About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Flying Operations Manager to join our dynamic and growing Flying Operations team. You will be the primary operational liaison between Flying Operations, Operations, Scheduling, Senior Base Pilots and other internal stakeholders.
Reporting to the Head of Flying Operations, you will play a pivotal role in providing support to assist with decision-making and ensure consistent implementation.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Operational Management and oversight.
Support Workforce planning & Personnel management in coordination with the scheduling team.
Crew member administration and training coordination (Part 133/138/141/142).
Provide support to the Senior Base Pilots in Australia for administration and operational practices.
Act as the liaison and coordinator between flying operations and other departments, including strategic planning sessions and supporting operational readiness for new contract and base/ fleet transitions.
Provide support to ensure regulatory compliance.
Participate in internal and external audits.
Provide administration support to the flying operations management team, including creation of purchase orders, MOC activities and other projects as required.
Support the application of the company FRMS by providing roster-risk inputs, fatigue risk assessment support and trend monitoring (e.g., using Air Maestro), in coordination with Scheduling.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
Demonstrated leadership or coordination experience within rotary-wing operations (flying or operational management background).
Proven experience in operational personnel management, training coordination, scheduling, compliance tracking and stakeholder liaison in a regulated environment.
Working knowledge of CASA operational frameworks relevant to the operator (Part 91/119/133/138/141/142) and/or international offshore flying regulations and client contract safety and service driven delivery expectations.
Experience working within FRMS frameworks and roster risk considerations in high-tempo operational environments.
High competence with administrative systems, document control and reporting.
