WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for a Chief Rotary Pilot to join our team in Australia. The Rotary Chief Pilot will supervise the conduct of the Helicopter Flight operations within Coulson Aviation Australia. It is highly desirable the successful candidate will live in the Sydney region and within 45 minutes of the operating base and place-of-work – Bankstown Aerodrome, NSW. Should the successful candidate not live in the local region it will be expected they relocate within the probationary period of 6 months.
The Chief Pilot duties and responsibilities include:
Monitoring and maintaining and reporting to the chief executive officer on, the operator’s compliance with the provisions of the civil aviation legislation and the operator’s exposition that apply to all flying operations;
Ensuring that the operator’s flight crew are provided with the information and documentation necessary to properly carry out their responsibilities;
Ensuring the proper allocation and deployment of the operator’s aircraft and the operator’s personnel, for use in the operator’s operations;
Maintaining a complete and up-to-date reference library of operational documents, including but not limited to the following - Operations Manual, CAA, CAOs, CASRs CARs, and AIP
Setting and maintaining the standards for the operations in accordance with this operations manual;
Developing, managing and maintaining the operator’s dangerous goods manual (if any) and ensuring that flight crew are trained in the handling of dangerous goods as required by the Regulations
Ensuring the proper allocation and deployment of aircraft and personnel for use in the operations;
Ensuring that Coulson Aviation flight crew member personnel are provided with the information and documentation necessary to properly carry out their responsibilities;
Managing the maintenance and continuous improvement of the operator’s fatigue risk management system;
Ensuring the Coulson Aviation flight crew member personnel understand the safety policy;
Ensuring that training and checking of the operator’s operational safety critical personnel (other than flight crew) conducted by or for the operator is conducted in accordance with the operator’s operations manual.
Arranging flight crew rosters and flying schedules
Maintaining records of licences and ratings held by each flight crew member, including:
Validity
Recency
Type ratings and any applicable licence restrictions
Maintaining a system to record flight crew duty and flight times to ensure compliance with duty and flight time limitations
Liaison with the Authority
Arranging and compiling Revisions to the Operations Manual and associated documents.
REQUIREMENTS:
Previous senior fight operations management experience.
Extensive regulatory knowledge to enable Coulson Aviation to conduct Coulson Aviation operations
A Valid CASA ATPL with B412 type rating.
Class 1 medical.
A minimum of 500 hours as PIC on the B412.
Low level experience or previous firebombing experience preferred.
