What we are looking for
We are currently seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Blackhawk pilot to fulfil the role of S70 Blackhawk Type Specialist in New South Wales, Australia.
The right candidate will have the ability to work in a team environment conducting aerial firefighting and flood response, equipment transport, disaster mitigation and related operations in support of emergency services. They must have a strong focus on safety and customer service.
This role will report to the HOO and assist with the discharge of their responsibilities to ensure the safe operation of the S70 Blackhawk type to ensure all flights, operations and other work are in compliance with CASA Regulations, Company Manuals, policies and client SOP’s and are achieved safely, effectively and efficiently.
The role requires flexibility and working away from home base at short notice, and offers competitive salary and an emphasis on work/ life balance on offer.
Essential Qualifications / Experience
· Australian CPL(H) or ATPL (H)
· 5000 hrs. Rotary Experience
· Minimum 500 hours of flying experience on S70/UH60 Blackhawk variants
· Demonstrated experience in management of aviation operations
· Detailed knowledge of civil aviation safety and regulatory framework and rules
· Australian Class 1 Medical
· Low Level Firefighting rating
· Low Level Sling Load Rating
· Minimum 3 year and 500 hours experience in remote area and unimproved landing area operations.
· Minimum 3 year and 500 hours background in Part 138 Aerial work operations including firefighting, SAR/ EMS and/ or external load operations
· The right to live and work in Australia
Desirable Qualifications / Experience
· Addition of a Bell 412 Type rating
· Winch / Personnel hoist operations Rating
· NVIS Rating
· Multi Engine Instrument Rating
· Instructor / Flight Examiner qualifications
