Superyacht Operations – Bell 429 Pilots

Advanced Flight takes an innovative, team-driven approach to aviation, working collaboratively to achieve both operational and project objectives. Based at Auckland Heliport, our central hub, we operate a diverse fleet for our clients, including the H130, H145, H160, and Bell 429.

The Role

We are seeking experienced pilots to join our international superyacht aviation team on an equal-time roster, operating a Bell 429 for a private client.

This is a multi-crew pilot position involving the planning and safe execution of a broad range of operations. These include day and night guest transfers, scenic flights, repositioning missions, and maintenance-related operations, all conducted from a large, world-cruising yacht.

While annual flight hours may be relatively low, the operational variety is exceptional. You will operate in some of the world’s most desirable and unexpected locations, places few pilots ever have the opportunity to fly.

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate is a highly capable, professional flight crew member who thrives in a dynamic yacht-based aviation environment. You are flexible with deployment dates and able to commit to overseas rotations of four weeks or longer.

You bring meticulous organisational skills and strong attention to detail, combined with a disciplined and consistently professional approach that reflects Advanced Flight’s standards. You work exceptionally well in a multi-crew environment, communicate clearly, and operate with a strong focus on safety and teamwork.

You continually seek improvement and do not accept low standards in any aspect of your role. In addition to aviation duties, you are willing to assist with general yacht operations when required, demonstrating adaptability, initiative, and a collaborative mindset.
