We are seeking an experienced emergency service Pilot to join our dedicated team operating in a twin-pilot, IFR, HEMS environment engaged in day and night operations. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Auckland.

You will be someone with:


Minimum qualifications for our Pilot:


  • ATPL or CPL (Helicopter)

  • Instrument Rating including PBN


Desirable qualifications:


  • AW169 experience

  • HEMS operational experience

  • NVG experience

  • Hoist experience

  • Multi-engine turbine experience


Required Skills:


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Highly developed time management skills

  • IT literate

  • Comprehensive knowledge of current aviation legislation and Part 119 regulations

  • Ability to collaborate and deal with change constructively


Main Responsibilities:


  • Carry out duties as a Pilot in accordance with CAA requirements and NRHL’s Operations Manual.

  • Ensure all flights are conducted safely and in compliance with regulations and authorisations.

  • Maintain operational readiness and competency checks.

  • Liaise regularly with colleagues, HEMS crew, engineering, and relevant stakeholders.

  • Assist with operational and training requirements.

  • Represent NRHL at occasional promotional or fundraising events to support and promote our activities.
